Breakdown of the band work hours and expenses
 
 
 
 
For one booking alone, 4 or 5 band members will put in a shift of 7 - 8 hours each (on the day), and 3 hours each on a rehearsal day. (This excludes any travelling time) 
 
 
 
In addition, a designated member of the band also has to work an extra 20 hours per week to take care of bookings, accounts, legal paperwork, phone calls, website maintenance, etc... (Your booking deposit is used to cover this)
 
 
 
Other than wages, expenses incurred by Aquarius (in order to run as a LEGAL business) are listed below:
 
 
 
 
 
Web Site: I.S.P. Bill, Google Ad Words / Sponsored Links, Search Engine Optimisation, Web Host Bill, Web Host Mirror Site Bill 

 

Communications: Telephone Calls, Mobile Calls, and Landline Rental

 

Equipment: P.A.T. Test, Equipment Insurance, Equipment Maintenance / Expenses (Guitar strings, drum sticks, etc), C.D. Player, I-Pod, etc…

 

Motor and Travel expenses: Fuel for gigs, Fuel for rehearsals, Motor Insurance, M.O.T., Road Tax, Vehicle Maintenance, etc… (For 2 Vehicles: Van and People Carrier)

 

Stationery and Promotional Material: Envelopes, Stamps, Business Cards, Magnets, Postcards, Laminator and Pouches, Printer Ink, Lyric Sheets, Contracts, Sheet Music, Folders, Card, Embossed Paper, CD’s, CD Spiders, etc…

 

P.C. Expenses

 

Rehearsals and Recording: Rehearsal costs, Studio Recording, Live Recording, Video Recording

 

Electricity Bill

 

Business Insurance

 

Public Liability Insurance

 

Musician’s Union Fees

 

Agency Commission and Fees (Some agencies charge the band 20% of the gross fee excluding VAT!)

 

Income Tax (After net profit, the government take 20% of this!)
